Piece Might and Magic. Review Elmarion: The Lost Temple

An unusual mixture of party arpg and free movement from the first person. Domestic development. Very early access.

Lyrical introduction

I have long been following the games of the Elmarion universe and each time they delight with some fresh concepts or an interesting look at old ideas.

The adventure group arrives at the ancient temple. The gates of the architectural monument are closed by order of the king. Is there a way to get inside?

The gameplay is a mixture of a party ARPG and first -person view.

Select the composition of the group and set off. I highly recommend going through a small but informative training.

Adventures begin at the local base – in a small village. Here we get the first quests.

The combat system is quite interesting. We have four characters, each of them is a set of stats, skills and equipment, which form attacks on enemies.

The system seems wise, but actually simple. Each blow is one of the fighters alternately. The player can set up those skills or attacks that every hero will do, choose the sequence of moves.

For an increase in the level, each fighter receives five points of stats and one skillpont. The studied skills of each class have quite a lot.

In the course of adventures, you can get a large amount of equipment. Slots for placing things on the characters are also.

A feature is that each hero can be equipped with near and long -range weapons, while the character can also swallow with skilles in parallel.

I liked the fact that there are secrets and quite interesting hidden activity. What – I will not spoil.

Enemies are represented by noidverificationcasinos.co.uk various kinds of animals, skeletons or demons. There are several bosses in stock.

And now about the sad

The weak point of the game is technical implementation. Bugs seem to be small, but there are a lot of them and perhaps they even affect the passage (I found one strange place that did not work in any way, but it seems that there is a secret).

I’ll list what is striking:

– Sudden, illogical appearance of enemies. For example, shot a spider egg, it exploded. And a spider climb from the beaten egg. Some spiders are invulnerable during the descent from the ceiling, some disappear without a trace when you shoot at them and it is not clear it is still alive or no longer.

– It is impossible to understand where to go at the moment. My quest hung for forty minutes and I did not understand how to make it. T.To. re -re -read the text of the task did not find where you can.

– The signs of tasks hang over the NPC and do not disappear when the tasks are done. Not very critical, but the eye cuts.

– The minimar of the village is extremely uninformative. There is no hot button for displaying the card, although it is on the screen and if you try, you can press.

– Some skills do not work from the hot keyboard panel. You can’t pump some skills. You can not remove the skill from the panel without replacement with another skill.

– Cannot be placed on the hot potion panel of the potion.

– Most of the monsters are small enough, while 99.99% of our attacks are rifle. Often the battle turns into jamming of enemy, barely visible on the horizon.

– The uninformativity of the descriptions of some skills and stats. For example, the archer has two types of shots, one says the number of mana consumed and effect, on the other – a vague description of the type “adds an attack with cold”. Regarding stats of confusion. For example, does the force of damage affect the onion? What gives luck? Does any magical damage added intelligence? Does the strength of the damage of a magical attack affect?

Another sad point was that a short -combat fighter in this game is almost useless, t.To. The best thing to do is to arm all with bows and constantly shoot from afar, if the enemies came up is to run away and repeat the shooting.

Consider the pros and cons of the game, let us summarize.

+ Pleasant musical and sound accompaniment.

+ Albeit uninformatively and so far in places crookedly working, but still generally a good system of stats and skills.

+ There are many types of equipment.

+ Sudden secret locations. Sometimes you need to think about it to find a secret and the fact that he is here at all.

+ There is Russian localization of the text.

What can be both a plus and a minus:

+- Game at a time. If you go once, you are unlikely to want to defeat again. For someone a plus, for someone minus.

+- Raspical graphics. Personally, my eyes did not cut me, but it is unlikely that I will cause enthusiasm. To whom it will come in.

– The whole set of technical deficiencies partially indicated in the review above. A lot of small bugs.

– The near -battle fighter has not yet shown his usefulness. Everyone shoots or throw skills.

So far, in my opinion, the game is ambiguous. There are good moments in it, there are grief circumstances. I hope that the bulk of the bugs will be filled in early access.
