The problem of game consoles in Russia.

I have been saving for a long time, and the other day I became the happy owner of this game console. To do this, I had to go to another city, spend half a day in search, but still I was able to buy it. But there was another problem – we need a disk. Although I traveled around the whole city – the search did not give results, the only thing I found is a couple of stores with discs for PS 2. “Well, nothing,” I thought, “not even evening. Maybe in my town there are discs.»On the Swiming Day, I shook our whole city for the presence of them, but to no avail. The last exit remained-the online store … Hmm … given the delivery, the price turned out to be not bad.

Here you go. Now I am sitting, waiting and writing on this blog. And here are what thoughts visit me ..

After all, it is no secret that the prefixes in our country are not as popular as in America, Europe, and some Asian countries. And all why? There are several reasons for that:
1) It is quite difficult to find the prefix itself. Of course, if you are a resident of the big city, then finding PlayStation 3 or Xbox 360 will not be difficult for you. But, if you are a resident of a small city, then the search will be inexcontant. And this despite the fact that we can easily buy a powerful computer from us.
2) the same applies to discs.
3) discs price. This, of course, is complete horror. For me personally, 2500-3500 rubles per disc is good money. Given the Russian mentality – this is … hmm … here, probably, you can’t swear. Well, I think you understand me.
4) Well, the fourth point is quite controversial, but perhaps I will take it here. Our people are already very accustomed to PC. You just look at what they write on various forums or in comments – many people simply fiercely protect the computer, claim that consoles are evil and everything is like that.

But here the question arises: who will do this. Who will invest and risk huge means for some people unknown to them. What idiot you need to be for this? But here is the question in another. Everyone knows that our game industry is quite weak. There are many reasons for this (I will not paint them, so that you yourself know everything). One and rather large – piracy. As far as I know, it is much less common on consoles. Accordingly, the promotion of gaming prefixes to our market could have been well developed into a game industry. Only all this for a long time … but maybe, after some period of time, modern prefixes will not be so rare in our area.

I do not agree … I am an avid Picnicular, I upgraded all the time, well, I like this business, well, and play modern games hunting. But there are games that are exclusive for a particular prefix. And the functionality of the prefixes is not only playing, but also to see the movies and go out into the web. About the high cost of games … yes! But what prevents the acquiring a refined box that will read both real and not very discs. Thus, I decided to buy a prefix … The only thing I stopped at Xbox360. And I am not going to catch up with PC either.

I think this way: all gamers are divided 1) for those who have little money, but there is a computer (for various reasons), and consciously/subconsciously the feeling that the computer is greater than benefit (even if it is a top -end game) 2) for those who do not have a computer/brains, but a lot of money and free time.
I attribute myself to 1). Firstly 2000-4000 versus 650 (and then only among the Jubisoft) rubles is the difference. + Search on the internet another firmware on the console to download pirate games is also inconvenient.
